Community Projects at Newcastle Place

Explore the many ways giving through The Lifespace Foundation has impacted the Newcastle Place community.

Wetlands and Pond

The first project Newcastle Place was the Wetlands and Pond project. The pond had been taken over by invasive algae, and had lost its beauty as a feature of the community. The nearly $40,000 raised cleared that out and added aerators, which have helped tremendously. While more flowers and plantings are needed and yet to come, the pond and the residents’ view of it are much improved!

Want to Start a Project at Newcastle Place?

The Lifespace Foundation is dedicated to supporting the goals and aspirations of our residents. We empower them to shape their own communities in the ways they find most meaningful. If you’d like to start a project at Newcastle Place, here’s how to get started.

  1. Get in touch with the Chairperson of the Newcastle Place Foundation Advisory Committee to get the necessary form. Depending on the community, this may also be obtained from the Executive Director’s office.
  2. Complete the project form, outlining what you hope to achieve, timelines, impact on the community, the specific amount of funding needed, and any ongoing costs for the community.
  3. The Committee will review and evaluate your proposal, vote on it, or request additional information before approving or rejecting.
